After some period use, the filter leaves of pressure leaf filter need to clean. There are mainly 2 kinds of cleaning methods:
1. Chemical cleaning:
Place the filter leaves need to be cleaned in the container with a pure solvent, see the below table for the concentration:

sodium hydroxide 10-15 50-60 3h
alkaline detergent 10-15 80-90 3h
Note: Don’t use hydrochloric acid solution or detergent which will produce a free chloride ions, as this would seriously corroded the mesh.
2. mechanical cleaning
1) high pressure water jet washing with 0.8MPa.
Place filter leaves vertically on a wooden boards, filter nozzle down, high pressure water nozzle with filter mesh plane into a 450 angle spray.
2) steam injection
Use steam blow with 0.3-0.5MPa to wash the leaves, the method of operation is same with high pressure water jet washing.
Attentions while cleaning the pressure filter leaves
1. Don’t recoil from filter nozzle to filter mesh with high pressure water or steam, which will makes the mesh bulges, or torn.
2. Don’t use high pressure water vapor jets in opposite directions as shown in picture 9, which will leave the slag in the leaves.
3. Don’t use wood, iron or the brushes scratch brushes leaves, which will not only clog mesh but easy to scratch the mesh.
4. After cleaning, checked each "O"-rings of the leaf are intact, if damaged, replace. And also check whether the leaves is deformation and the mesh is damaged or bulge. If so, replace a new filter leaf.
